No Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, and Chris Duhon cripples the scoring for a team that struggles to put points on the board even when healthy.
Milwalkee Bucks at New Jersey Nets- (Nets -4.5)
Its been tough for the Nets this year, but they will be absolutely delighted to host the Bucks tonight who are without their main weapon in Michael Redd.
Golden State at Houston Rockets- (Rockets -3)
The Rockets are able to put it together tonight against a Warrior team that is a a totally different team when they are on the road.

Ohio State at Penn St (Under 127.5)
Penn St is ranked 208th overall in points scored and now are without their best scorer (17.5 ppg) Geary Claxton. They go against an Ohio State team that is great on defense (6th ranked at Field Goal % Allowed with 37.3%) who also have their fair share of struggles on offense at 165th in the country.
Western Michigan at Buffalo (Over 138)
Two extremely weak defensive teams.

Bad beats in sports betting are like bad beats in cards, you make the right play just things don't go your way. I had some bad ones last night. Lets take a look at some of them.
Washington-Milwalkee Under 193- Throughout the whole entire game I thought I had this one for sure. After the first quarter they were on pace for 128 points. I don't know what was worst the fact that it went to overtime or the way it did, lets recap. With 1:34 left in regulation the Bucks were up by 11. Wizards hit a 3, steal on the inbound and hit another 3. I'm still fine. Bucks come down and miss a shot and so do the Wizards, I should be all set as it is Bucks ball and they're up by 5 with 24 seconds left. Turnover. Shooting foul. Makes FT then misses, offensive rebound and a putback. On the putback another foul. Misses FT offensive rebound (They teach boxing out in Australia or China). Caron Butler makes a jumper to tie it and give the under backers a terrible beat.
Duke at Maryland- Maryland up 9 at half and im getting +5.5 and they end up losing by 9. Side note when Duke plays UNC i am pounding UNC regardless of the spread. I will trust the Vegas spread and still take UNC as Duke can not defend teams that have good big men and can attack the basket.
Providence +5 at Syracuse: Two irrelevent free throws with 5 seconds left and a missed wide open 3 by providence lost this one.
Mich St -16.5 against Mich- The goal of Michigan must to have been to cover as Michigan State got a dunk with 13 seconds left to go up by 19. Michigan comes down and hits a jumper with 6 seconds, for some ungodly reason they press and steal the inbound to score again at the buzzer. Wow
Solid plays just some bad luck, but hopefully it evens out.

Great day yesterday hitting both the 4 and 5 star plays on to today.

Dallas -7.5- Another tough road game for the Lakers after coming off a double digit loss to the Spurs. With Bynum out the Lakers are a completely different team. Their only centers are Kwame Brown (worst #1 pick arguably of all time) and when he's not on the floor they have to go extremely small with Odom or Turiaf having to play the 5 in which they are way out of position. Dallas wins this by double digits.

Detroit -7.5- Pistons at home are going to be too much for the Magic to overcome.

Memphis at Washington- Under 204- The Wizards slow it down at home for the under.

First of all, can't get over how frustrating it is last night to see Florida take a 2-0 lead.....then never regain the lead until less than 2 minutes left. South Carolina had the lead for 95% of the lead including a double digit advanage but fail to come out on top. In the future on my 10 star plays I am going to start to do a 10 star 1st half play and a full game play, so this doesn't happen again because it seems like my losses have come via backdoor. Anyway, on to the picks.

Atlanta +5.5- The Nuggets are going to be without Carmelo so expect a very close game. I think Atlanta could steal one on the road but I'll gladly take the 5.5.
San Antonio- -6.5- This spread is simply not high enough. Expect Duncan and Parker on his drives to have a field day without Bynum holding down the paint. Kobe may need to score 50 to keep this one close.

10 STAR PLAY- SOUTH CAROLINA +1- The Florida team this year reminds me a lot like the Uconn team last year. They both opened up with 12 home games against terrible teams and fooing everyone into thinking their a tournament caliber team. The Uconn team started the season 12-0 until finally facing solid competition and not even qualifying for the NIT. Florida this year has had a cake walk of a schedule only playing against one top 25 team (18th Ole Miss) while South Carolina has been much more battle tested against the likes of Tennessee, Vandy, Clemson, USC, NC St, and coming off a big road win at an underrated Arkansas team. History has shown that young teams like Florida (They start 2 freshman 2 sophomores and a junior) on the road will struggle in league play. Go with the Gamecocks at home.

St Joe's -6- I predicted they'd beat Umass earlier this year and am not going to shy away from them again at home.
Indiana- -16- Iowa has nowhere near the athletes to stay close on the road against the likes of Eric Gordon and DJ White.

The Colts had no problem moving the ball and did not punt once in that game, Patriots get a huge blow out win leading into the Super Bowl
Green Bay Packers Vs New York Giants- Under 41- This weather is going to be brutal, as it is going to be below 0 degrees at kickoff. In such crazy conditions like this, 41 points is way too high. The offenses will struggle in this terrible weather and I could see a sloppy field goal fest.

Nobody has been hotter than Ben Gordon, Joe Smith is becoming the off season move veteran pick up of the year, and do not bet against Andres Nocioni, he seems to take it personal. (The last 3 times I have bet against the Bulls he has single handedly covered by scoring season highs of 30, 27, and 20)

2nd Half Play
I have a great play for those looking for some second half action. Im gonna throw a 10 star bomb on the second half over for the Warriors and Pacers. The line is 109 and it is no where near high enough for the two most explosive offenses. The Warriors played terrible in the first half and it still reached 99. It will be close to 120 in the second half.

The Bulls are such an overrated team this year with or without Scott Skiles. With the news of their best player Luol Deng not expected to play again this play instantly turns into a 10 star play. Deng is one of the only bright spots for this team and I would even take the 76ers if Deng was in the lineup. Without him playing makes this 10 x more appealing and is a great pick. The Bulls are coming off a terrible home loss to the lowly Knicks who had only won one road game. Take the 76ers tonight at home vs the overrated Bulls.

I am so confident with the original assesment of my Jazz-Suns pick that I am also taking the Jazz in the second half for a 5 Star play. The Suns are extremely thin tonight and I would be shocked to see them cover a second half spread with the likes of Eric Piatkowski and Marcus Banks getting significant minutes. Jazz blow it open even more for a rout in the second half

Last night was a great one going 4-0 in the NBA and 2-1 in NCAAB. Felt good to get it back together after having two disastrous days on Monday and Tuesday. Thanks for staying with me and im happy people emailed me saying they stuck with me and hit big off the picks on Wednesday. That being said, on to the plays.

(*Updated) UTAH-6 over Phoenix- Wow what a line jump. When I made the play last night it was at -2.5 and now it has jumped up to -6. The reason why is because Hill is OUT, Nash is doubtful, and Marion is questionable. Stick with the pick. They are not the same team without their MVP Nash. One of the biggest myths is that Vegas sets lines up to get half the people on one side and half on the other side. This is a great example because there are hardly any NBA games tonight and this one is going to be televised on TNT. With this line the average joe would pounce on Phoenix and this is exactly what Vegas wants. Play the Jazz-6 to avoid one of the biggest trap games of the year.

Memphis +4 at SACREMENTO- I like Memphis here because they are a much deeper team than the Kings. Credit the Kings for playing well lately without many key players the Grizzlies will have the most talent on the court no matter which set the teams go with.

(*Updated) UTAH-6 over Phoenix- Wow what a line jump. When I made the play last night it was at -2.5 and now it has jumped up to -6. The reason why is because Hill is OUT, Nash is doubtful, and Marion is questionable. Stick with the pick. They are not the same team without their MVP Nash. One of the biggest myths is that Vegas sets lines up to get half the people on one side and half on the other side. This is a great example because there are hardly any NBA games tonight and this one is going to be televised on TNT. With this line the average joe would pounce on Phoenix and this is exactly what Vegas wants. Play the Jazz-6 to avoid one of the biggest trap games of the year.

Memphis +4 at SACREMENTO- I like Memphis here because they are a much deeper team than the Kings. Credit the Kings for playing well lately without many key players the Grizzlies will have the most talent on the court no matter which set the teams go with.

To those who followed my 10 star win Sunday with West Virginia upsetting Marquette here is another one for you.
BYU -1 over Wake Forest- BYU is one of the most underappreciated teams in college basketball. They are a complete team who play extremely well together. Ask then ranked Louisville forward Earl Clark, "They were hitting all their shots and have great shooters. They kept making shots, they played together, they executed. That's what wins basketball games." BYU has a lethal inside outside combination in 6'11 center Trent Plaised (16.6 ppg 9.5 rpg), 6'6 guard Lee Cummard (16.1 ppg 6.1 rpg) and a deadly three point weapon Jonathan Tavernari a 6'6 forward from Brazil who is averaging 14.5 ppg and 5.3 rpg. All three of these players are going to be a problem for this overrated Wake team. Wake is made up of entirely underclassmen. They do not have one senior on their roster and their two leading scorers are a freshman and a sophomore. Size will give BYU a huge advantage as well. Wake has problems rebounding the ball. Their top rebounder is a freshman forward who has 8 per game but he will be overmatched down low with Plaised owning the glass. Wake does not have anyone else who pulls down more than 5 per game as BYU has 2 others along with Plaised. Giving an experienced and great shooting team second chances will the x factor tonight as BYU will coast to a win.
