Michigan State Vs Boston College
Total: 57.5
As we've seen the last two nights, offenses have been coming out to play in these bowl games. Expect another shootout as Michigan State has been a great over team this year. The over is 8-1 in Michigan States last 9 games. With BC's high caliber offense and Michigan St. shootout style games the over is the play.
Pick: Over 57.5
Stars: 5
Oregon St Vs. Maryland
Pick: Maryland +5
I think despite the records Maryland is the better team in this game. With impressive wins against BC, Georgia Tech, Rutgers and their recent 37-0 blowout win against NC State they will be riding high coming into tonights game. I do not think they need the 5 points but will gladly accept it.
Pick: Maryland
Stars: 4
NBA
Philidelphia 76ers at Sacremento Kings
Line: Kings -4
The 76ers are a much better team than the Kings top to bottom. The Kings have had injury trouble and will struggle at home against the 76ers.
Pick: 76ers +4
Stars: 3
Orlando Magic at Miami Heat
Line: Magic -3.5
Allright if I told you I was taking the Heat you'd say, your an idiot, Magic is a lock. At the end of the night you will say, "You were right, I should have listened to you." Watch and learn fellas.
Pick: Heat +3.5

UConn at Central Florida
Line: UCONN -4
Vegas has some set of balls putting a line out like this. What I love about Vegas is that they could set this spread to 10 and people would still be on Uconn. Wrap Me, i'm going with Vegas.

Game: Texas Longhorns vs Arizona State Sun Devils
Total: 61.5
This is another matchup that looks to have a lot of points scored. The Texas over is on a roll as their last three games have tallied 68, 102, and 73. Look for them to end the season with an over as the Sun Devils match up nice against them. They have a high powered passing game led by Rudy Carpenter and the Longhorns are an atrocious 110th ranked pass defense. These two offenses average well over 30 points apiece and look for them to be well into the 30s tonight.
Play: Over: 61.5

NBA
This is going to be a rare moneyline parlay tonight. I am going to take all 3 favorites which will make it +105. I do not like any of the spreads but I do not see Dallas losing at home to Cleveland, or Phoenix and Boston losing to the Clippers and Sonics respectively. Dallas has won their last 5 home games and will be able to contain Lebron enough tonight to get the win. Phoenix is coming off a tough loss at the Lakers and will get back on track tonight against a Clippers team that they beat by 19 earlier this season. The Celtics will be able to beat Seattle this year as they have not had a problem with lower tier teams at all this season.
Play: Mavericks -290, Suns -350, Celtics -550........Overall +105

Game: New Mexico at Hawaii
Line: New Mexico -5.5
At home Hawaii has been a tough out all season and expect it to continue tonight. They went into battle against a solid Illinois team and loss by 2 and San Diego by 1, . This line is too high and it will be a back and forth game coming down to the wire tonight. They play too tough at home for a 6 point home loss
Play: Hawaii +5.5

December 26th 2007
As a late Christmas present I have two 5 star plays for tonight and the very rare 10 star bomb. This is rare for me but I love three games tonight and I can guarantee a 2-1 night but am confident I can hit all 3. Good luck.
Game: Dallas Mavericks at Utah Jazz
Line: Jazz -3
The Jazz are happy to be playing back at home after a four game road trip. With a line like this Vegas is begging people to be on the Mavericks as the Jazz have struggled lately. Do not fall into that trap as the Mavericks have clearly struggled as a road team this year. They have lost to Toronto, New Orleans, Milwaukee, Indiana, and Atlanta on the road this year. Look for the Jazz to take this game and be able to pull away late.
Play: Jazz -3
Stars:5
Game: New Orleans Hornets at Memphis Grizzlies
Total: 201
Play: Over 201
Stars: 5
The Grizzlies offense has been kept in check the last couple of days but look for them to bust out tonight. Earlier this year these two teams battled to a 118-116 contest and expect a similar style tonight. The pace will be fast and these two teams have multiple options in scoring. The Grizzlies are a run and gun shootout type team and with them controlling the tempo at home the over will hit.
Game: Indiana Pacers at Atlanta Hawks
Line: Atlanta -2.5
Those of you who have followed me know I love the Hawks when they play at home. They are hot lately winning and covering their last four games. As the Trailblazers have shown you, who have won 11 straight, ride the hot team till they lose. The Hawks have been impressive at home beating and covering against Dallas, Utah, and Phoenix. The Pacers are a different story on the road. They are coming off road loss to the 4-22 Minnesota T'Wolves and have also loss on the road against the 8-20 Seattle Sonics. This ten star bomb is my play of the week.
Play: Atlanta -2.5
Stars: 10

Game: Purdue Boilermakers at Central Michigan
Line: Purdue -7.5
Total: 71
This is a lot of points but it will be reached in this shootout. A whole lot of offense and very little defense will be shown tonight in the Motor City Bowl. The Central Michigan offense and quarterback Dan LeFevour is the best offense that you have not heard about. Dan LeFevour and Vince Young are the only players to pass for 3,000 yards and run for 1,000 in the same season ever. In their last 8 games the over has been hit 7 times as they are also terrible at allowing points, giving up 35.8 points a game, 14th worst in all of college football. Purdue also has an explosive offense. They run a spread attack that Central Michigan will struggle covering and head coach Butch Jones knows this. He has said about this game, "We know from firsthand experience that this game is going to feature two dynamic offenses. It might come down to whichever defense can make a play." Expect a shootout from these two potent offenses that will struggle to stop the other team

Game: Morehead St. Eagles at Louisville Cardinals
Line: Louisville -23.5
Louisville has been one of the biggest disapppointments in the early going of the season. Rick Pitino knows this is a great chance to blow a team out to get his team back on track. Morehead St. does not deserve to be on the same court as Louisville and look for a blowout statement win.

NFL
Game: Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers
Total: 47
The Broncos defense is terrible on the road giving up 31, 34, and 37 points in their last three contests. This is great news for the Chargers offense as they have finally found their rythym coming off a 51 point outburtst last week. Expect the two offenses to be able to move the ball and a lot of points tonight.
Pick: Over 47

NFL
Philadelphia at New Orleans
Total: 47
Brian Westbrook should be able to have his will against this bad Saints defense. The Saints look to air the ball out as they do not have much of a running game and will look to air it out. The home field team (Saints) will set the scoring tempo for this game as their over has hit in three straight games. Except a high scoring fair at the Dome today.
Play: Over 47
Stars 4
Cleveland at Cincinnati
Line: Cleveland -3.5
If you can find the line at -3.5 like I did on betus.com than jump all over the Bengals. I know they are eliminated from playoff contention but I like them coming out with the win tonight but we'll take the points. The Bengals are not as bad as they have shown this year and look for them to end the season the right way. They would like nothing more than to hurt the Browns playoff chances after getting embarrassed by them at Cleveland earlier this year.
Play: Bengals +3.5
Stars: 5
New York Giants at Buffalo Bills
Line: Bills 14.5 Team Total
The Bills have reached this total at home every game this year except against New England and back in week 1 against the Broncos. Most of them they have reached with ease such as 38 against the Dolphins, 33 against Bengals, and 24 against the Cowboys. The Giants defense have been banged up all season and have to go into a tough atmosphere in Buffalo. The Bills at home will be able to top this point total.

Lakers at Knicks
Total: 205
The Knicks over has hit in three straight and will make it four after today. The tempo for this game will be fast and I do not see much of a defensive effort with either team. The Lakers are averaging 106 points a game while giving up 101. The over is the pick.

Virginia Tech at Wake Forrest
Line: Wake -2.5

ECU vs Boise St
Total: 66.5
A lot of offense and very little defense by both teams today. ECU ranks 99th in the country at total defense and are 117th in passing allowed. Boise is 5th in the country in points scored, averaging 42.8 points a game. I expect ECU to be able to put points up as well on this vulnerable Bronco defense. They just allowed 39 to Hawaii and have given up 67 against Nevada. Expect a shootout here in the Aloha state

Game: Georgetown at Memphis
Line: Memphis -4
Top to bottom there is no team in college basketball that has more depth and experience than Calipari's Memphis Tigers. Playing them at the Fedex Forum in Memphis has disaster written all over it for opposing teams. Georgetown does not have the depth to be able to win this game and look for Memphis to pull away with this one.
Play: Memphis -4

Game: Oregon St. at LSU
Line: LSU -14.5
The Oregon St. Beavers are a bad team period. Do not get caught up in their name or conference they are in. This is a team who has lost to Colorado St by 13, Division 2 Alaska Fairbanks, and Tennessee Tech by 17. Do not expect them to be able to hang around on the road against LSU.
Play: LSU -14.5
Stars: 4
Game: Northeastern at BC
Line: BC -12
BC is an extremely young ball club who has very very little experience. This Northeastern squad has been a very feisty squad who has played good competition. They have lost to three teams on the road who are all better than BC and none of them were double digits, (Illinois by 8, Maryland by 2, and Uconn by 9). With this being said I expect a close game and BC being able to win this by more than 12 will be a task too difficult for this young team to accomplish.
Play: BC -12

NBA
Game: Minnesota Timberwolves at New Orleans Hornets
Line: Hornets -10.5
Kudos to the T'wolves for dropping 131 on Indiana but with a game the very next night down in New Orleans expect a blowout. The Hornets are coming off 14 point win at Seattle and with are well rested at home tonight. They will be without Peja but will still be able to get a double digit win here tonight.
Play: Hornets -10.5
Stars: 3
Game: LA Clippers at San Antonio Spurs
Line: Spurs: -15
The Clippers are one of the most banged up teams in recent memory. Their starting backcourt last night in Dallas was: PG Brevin Knight (Career 8.2 PPG) and SG Richie Frahm (3.6). To make matters worse bench player Paul Davis was injured last night and will also not play tonight. The Clippers almost expect to get blown out playing a back to back night against a championship caliber team. Spurs win big.

Papa John's.com Bowl
Game: Southern Mississippi vs Cincinnati
Total: 55
Southern Mississippi's strength is its run game and expect for them to try to control the clock. The under has hit in 4 out of their last 5 games. Cincinnati has a great rush defense and their under is 5-2 in the last 7 games so I would be surprised to see 55 reached by these two teams.
Play: Under 55

New Mexico Bowl
Game: Nevada vs New Mexico
Line: New Mexico -2.5
Nevada is one of college football's worst teams in points allowed ranking 98th in the country. This is opposed to the 25th ranked New Mexico in points allowed. Defense wins games and New Mexico will take this one. Expect the New Mexico Lobos to be able to control the tempo of this game from the beginning and get the win having the homecourt advantage.
Pick: New Mexico: -2.5
Stars: 3
Las Vegas Bowl
Game: BYU vs UCLA
Line: BYU -6.5
Injuries have kept UCLA away from having the season their high hopes intended. With a healthy squad I like the moneyline in this situation. There is great value at +205 and with quarterback Drew Olson likely to play expect them to end the season with a big win over 19th ranked BYU.

Game: Lakers at Cleveland

Homecourt always controls the tempo of games. This Caviliers team is not built to be a high scoring team and the under looks like a solid play tonight. The Lakers are not as high powered on the road as they are in the Staples Center. Both teams are good defensively and I do not see enough fire power beside the two star players for this game to go over. The under has hit in their last three road games and expect the trend to continue here tonight.

Depaul at Mississippi
Line: Mississippi -7.5
Depaul is an underrated team in terms of talented players. Head coach Jerry Wainwright has done a great job of assembling the Top 20 recruiting classes the last couple years. They have been challenged lately by playing against #3 Kansas and #20 ranked Vanderbilt. Mississippi has been undefeated this year but it should be noted that their schedual has been very soft so far. Expect a close game out in the annual tournament hosted by Puerto Rico.
Play: Depaul +7.5
Stars: 4
Game: Miami Ohio at Illinois
Spread: Illinois -9.5
There is a good chance that Miami Ohio will be without their leading scorer Michael Bramos as he is questionable. This is a huge blow to the Redhawks as they will need to replace 19 ppg. After losing a tough game to Arizona the Fighting Illini bounced back with a 58-35 thumping to Western Carolina. Illinois is a solid team top to bottom and a double digit home win is likely.

This Navy defense has had a terrible year and Utah will put a lot of points against them. Utah's offense has the experience and look for QB Brian Johnson to be able to have a great game. Utah is a great bowl team winning their last 6 bowl games. Utah has experience facing this type of offense they are facing. Head coach Kyle Whittingham said, "The familiarity we have certainly will help us ." They will be able to cover the -8 as their defense will step it up against this option attack Navy team.

NBA-
Game: Heat at Hawks
Line: Hawks -1.5
If you were to tell me two years ago that that on this day the Heat would be an underdog to the Hawks I would have assumed that Wade, Shaq, and Mourning were fatally killed in a car accident of some sort. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Do not get suckered into the Heat trap, this team is terrible. The Heat have failed to cover the spread in the last 3 straight games, and they were all at home. The Hawks meanwhile are coming off a huge home win against the Jazz, who are a much much better team. Take the Hawks to win this one.
Play: Hawks -1.5
Stars: 4
Game: Phoenix Suns at Dallas Mavericks
Line: Mavs -3
Despite the less than stellar record so far the Mavericks are still a force at home. They are 11-2 playing at the American Airlines Center. Phoenix has had some serious struggles on the road lately. They are coming off a big win at San Antonio but don't expect them to be able to travel into Dallas and pull out another road win. Before that game they had lost to Minnesota, Miami, and New Orleans. Another day on the road against a very tough Dallas team will lead to some troubles.
Play: Mavericks -3
Stars: 5
Game: Toronto Raptors at Portland Trailblazers
Line: Trailblazers -2
No team has been more impressive at home this year than Portland. I cannot begin to describe how much money Vegas has won because of people betting against Portland at home this season. Portland has won their last 8 games, and everyone of them they have covered the spread. They have beat Dallas, Detroit, Utah, Golden State, and New Orleans all as a home underdog. They are finally getting some respect by being favored. The Raptors struggled last night against the lowly Clippers. They are lucky to come out with a win and with a back to back night there task at Portland will be more than a handful especially with Lamarcus Aldridge being back in the lineup.
Play: Trailblazers -2

Santa Clara at Stanford
Line: Stanford -15
The Stanford Cardinals get a major boost when their twin monster comes back. That is the other 7 foot twin, Brook Lopez who gains eligibility after academic issues. This is a huge deal for them and untested Santa Clara will be in for a rude awakening.
Play: Stanford -15
Stars: 4
Game: Baylor at South Carolina
Line: South Carolina -3
The Baylor Bears have been a pleasant surprise here early on. They are 7-1 this year and have only lost to then #6 ranked Washington St by 3. They have had wins on the road against Wichita St., Notre Dame, and Winthrop. The Gamecocks on the other hand have not been very good at home this year losing their last 3 out of 4 games. Baylor gets the nod.
Play: Baylor +3
Stars: 4
Game: Old Dominion at Richmond
This game is all about the matchups. Richmond has been noted as playing great zone defense as noted by Memphi's coach John Calipari. This will cause a lot of trouble for forward Gerald Lee of Old Dominion. They have lost their top three scorers from last year and have no other double digit scorers and could struggle here on the road.

Jets at Patriots
Play: Jets +21 AND Under 42
Final Score: Patriots 20 Jets 10
Stars: Both Picks 5 Star Plays
The weather actually simmered down before kickoff. It was a lot better than I had thought it would be. Anyhow it was still windy and cold enough to impact the game. It was a sloppy game all throughout and the Patriots ran the ball the most times all season as I had predicted. This led to a lot of time being ticked off the clock for both plays to be successful.
Jaguars at Steelers
Play: Under 35
Final Score: Jags 29 Steelers 22
Stars: 4
This was another game in which the weather was not as bad as the predictions. My regret was not taking the under in the Bills-Browns game because I was contemplating whether to add that pick along with this game. Both teams threw the ball 33 times and it was a lot more than I had anticipated. As a result both Garrard and Roethlisberger each had 3 TD passes leading to an over.
Cardinals at Saints
Play: Cardinals +3.5
Final Score: Saints 31 Cardinals 24
Stars: 4
The key to this game was the accuracy of Drew Brees. Going 26 for 30 against the Cardinals secondary is what led to a Saints win. The Cardinals offense had a pretty good game but on their last possession they went 3 and out, pinned the Saints on their own 4 yard line. With 6 minutes left the Saints were able to run out the rest of the clock for the win.
Lions at Chargers
Play: Over 45.5
Final Score: Chargers 51 Lions 14
Stars: 3
Going into halftime this game already almost went over. The Chargers completely manhandled the Lions this game. The Lions defense played terrible and this game had no trouble reaching the 45.5 points.
NBA
Warriors at Pistons
Play: Pistons -6
Final Score: Pistons 109 Warriors 87
The Warriors road struggles followed them yesterday in Detroit. A 33-13 2nd quarter by the Pistons put this game away. A nice win and cover from the Pistons who continue to get in done in the early part of the season.
Wrap Me! Plays of the Day
NFL
Game: Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings
Total: 43
The two starting quarterbacks in this game are Kyle Orton and Tavaris Jackson. With that being said expect the ball to stay on the ground a lot in this game. The Vikings are the best rush defense in the NFL so expect the Bears offense to struggle as a whole this game. I would be very surprised to see them score more than 2 offensive touchdowns. I do not think the Bears defense against the rush is as bad as they have shown. Last week there seemed to be a lot of improvement against the run as they held Clinton Portis to 17 rushes on 36 carries and the Redskins offense as a whole to a spectacular 1.3 rushing average. With the two headed monster of Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor that the Vikings possess do not expect the same numbers but the Vikes ground game can be contained. San Francisco held Adrian to only 3 yards on 14 carries. Both teams will try to control the clock tonight and they will struggle to match the total.
Play: Under 43
Stars: 5
NBA
Minnesota Timberwolves at Miami Heat
Total: 193
In Miami's last 7 games the over has been reached 6 times. Expect for another one when these two teams meet in Miami tonight. Minnesota gives up 101 points a game while the Heat are at 98. Offense should not be a problem tonight and expect an up tempo game with these two squads.
Play: Over 193
Stars: 4
Utah Jazz at Atlanta Hawks
Line: Jazz -4 (game)
Jazz -2.5 (1st half)
The Jazz are 0-5 in their last 5 road games. Now that they are back in the road at Atlanta, expect some more problems. This young Atlanta team is on the rise this year, flirting with .500 at 11-12. They have won some big games this year such as Dallas (101-94), Phoenix (105-96) and at Orlando (98-87). The Hawks will not be intimated by the Jazz at all.
Play: Hawks +4 (game) and +2.5 (1st half)
Stars: 5 star for both plays
NCAAB
Tonight I am going to take two home underdogs with their moneyline. I expect to go 2-0 here which would result in +940 on the day. If I go 1-1 I will still be up either +100 or +40. I can place my stamp of that I will not go 0-2 on these. Good luck.
Tennessee-Martin at Morehead St
Moneyline: Morehead St +110
Morehead has been awfully busy on the road this year playing 6 of 8 games away from their homecourt of Ellis T Johnson Arena. When they do play at home they are 2-0. Look for the Morehead St Eagles to get it together tonight at home.
Play: Morehead St +110
Stars: 4
Portland at Eastern Washington
Moneyline: Eastern Washington +125
Another team that has played a lot of basketball on the road is Eastern Washington. When they do play at home they are 2-1 and look to add to the tally. They are a veteran bunch who are playing an extremely young Portland team. 5 out of the 6 top scorers from Portland are freshmen or sophomores and young teams on the road tend to struggle.

NBA
Sacramento Kings at Washington Wizards
Pick: Wizards -8
Result: Wizards 92 Kings 79
The Wizards got off to a fast start in the first quarter and it carried on throughout the game. The Kings did not have the lead once in the game as the Wizards got the home win.
Seattle Sonics at Utah Jazz
Pick: Jazz -12.5
Result: Jazz 96-75
The Sonics got manhandled in the 2nd quarter (Jazz 31-13) and the 4th quarter (Jazz 20-9). Seattle only shot 32% from the field against one of the league's best defensive teams.
Dallas Mavericks at Houston Rockets
Pick: Rockets -3.5
Result: Dallas 96-83
The Rockets went into halftime up 3 then fell apart in the 2nd half. Tracy McGrady really struggled only scoring 12 points on an abysmal 5 for 18 night.
NCAAB
Oregon Ducks at Nebraska Cornhuskers
Pick: Nebraska +4.5
Result: Nebraska 88 Oregon 79
Nebraska got the big upset in this 5 star play. Tajuan Porter and Malik Hairston were both on fire from 3 point land. They were a combined 12 for 20 from 3 but it wasn't enough as Nebraska played a great game. They forced 18 turnovers and distributed the ball great. When the game got sent to overtime on a Porter 3 I expected the worst but Nebraska completely outplayed them and got the upset.
UAB at Kentucky
Pick: Kentucky -6.5
Result: UAB 79-76
Backdoored once again. Kentucky up 14 at once but fell apart. Kentucky shot 57% but could not manage to get to the line like UAB did. Kentucky only shot 8 free throws while UAB got to the line 23 times.
Montana at Pacific
Pick: Montana +6.5
Result: Pacific 76 Montana 71
Another overtime game but Montana was still able to cover. They had the same problem Kentucky had by losing the free throw attempt stat 31 to 9. Pacific had to rally to force OT and it would have been a bad beat if they lost this by more than 7.

I live in Boston and let me tell you, the snow is coming down very hard and will continue till well after the game. We are here in the middle of a blizzard right now and it's a good time to make some money off of it. This game will be a low scoring close game. It will be difficult to get anything going through the air for both teams and look for the Jets to try to run it at the Patriots and control the clock. With these conditions the Pats will not be able to go to their usual passing game and it will affect them. They have not been able to run the ball that great this year and this snow will slow this game down.

- Cleveland Cavaliers at New Jersey Nets +3- New Jersey took this game 105-97 despite 2 of their starters not scoring a point (Malik Allen and Jason Colins) {Don't see that too often}. This Nets team will be a great play when they are a home team from here on out. They looked in sync for the first time all season. I can't see them being home underdogs again for awhile but if they do its a good reason to jump on it
- Toronto at Indiana (-2) - Pacers were up 17 at one point. Fast foward to one of the worst final five minutes of all time. Excluding a last second 3 Tinsley hit, which had no bearing on the game, the Pacers were outscored 18-0. Pacers were 0 for 9 (also 0 for 2 at the stripe) with 3 turnovers. Just an ugly ending for a home team up 17 points.
- Milwalkee at Boston (Under 189)- Once again, games at the TD BankNorth Garden equal unders. The record is now 9-2-1 on the season. The best part about it is that people are always on their home overs. We'll keep exploiting this until there is a change.
- Seattle at Minnesota (-1.5)-Minnesota jumped out to a 26-11 lead but that was all they could do. After that it went downhill from there.

As Charles Barkley once said, "This is the type of game that makes you want to go home and beat your wife and kids." --> I'm kidding (he did say that but he as well as myself are both joking :) Anyway this game joins my top 10 most gut wrenching backdoor cover loses of all time. It was a great play, but some ugly events led to a horrible loss. I will try to reenact the pain that I had to endure.
- Kobe hits a jumper with 1:42 to go up (Lakers 101-89)
- Brent Barry bricks a 3, offensive rebound, Bruce Bowen hits a 3 (101-92)
- Even though Lakers are up by 9. Lamar Odom misses a layup with 16 seconds still on the shot clock. (The fix is on. I could have sworn I'd seen Tim Donaghy refereeing the game
- Finley misses a 3 and Fisher rebounds. (In my mind I am saying $$$$$$$)
- Lamar Odom makes sure to get the ball in his hand and get fouled.
- Odom looks up at the Big Italian Guys sitting floor seats and winks. Then goes 1-2 from the stripe. (102-92)
- Finley misses a 3, Laker rebound ($$$$$$$)
- Fisher misses a 3, Odom has a chance at a rebound but lets the Spurs get it.
- Up by 10 with 20 seconds left=$$$$$$--- well at least 9,999 out of 10,000 times
- Brent Barry hits a 3 with 21 seconds left (102-95)
- 11 seconds go by without a foul. The Lakers are swinging the ball around with the Spurs chasing them when Odom decides to hold onto the ball so he can "take" the free throws.
- Lamar Odom misses free throw 1 of 2; Lamar Odom misses free throw 2 of 2 (Did I tell you yesterday that I get murdered by free throws for some ungodly reason?)
- Superman aka Michael Finley rushes down the court with 0% chance of winning and hits a basket with 2 seconds left.
- Lamar Odom and Tim Donaghy are seen leaving the arena guzzling bottles of Dom Perignon
After big loses like this I sometimes find message boards with degenerates talking about what happened. This guy writes
"All it takes is a friend or himself in trouble to do that crap. 6'10 and cant hit the rim from two feet on two layups. Why else you think he was cherry picking? He knew if he got the ball, he could screw it up. Notice how everyone else played keep away and when he got it he just held on."
Haha this kills me. All it takes is a friend or himself in trouble. The difference between my comments and this one is this guy is serious. I do not believe there was a fix. It was a bad beat and that's just the way the ball bounces sometimes. Someone once told me it is better to receive a bad beat because you made a good bet but the other side pulled off some miracles and covered. I guess I will try to think like that. Good read, good bet, results=not good. The operation was a success but the patient still died.

Sacramento Kings at Boston Celtics: Total 190- Pick Under
Sacramento did not have any answers on the offensive end and actually surprising played solid defense. The game went way under at 168 and even overtime might not have been enough. Both teams severely struggled from the field and especially from 3 point territory, which led to an easy under.
Detroit Pistons at Houston Rockets: Pick: Houston Moneyline +110
In every sport I have an Achilles Heal which gets exploited very often. In MLB my team will mysteriously turn into a Little League team on defense with a significant amount of errors. In NFL, kickers are my worst nightmare as they will always shank chip shot field goals for me. One time I needed Adam Vinateri to hit a 20 yard field goal to help me hit an over. He shanks it, go figure. In basketball it comes down to free throws. The team I pick will always miss free throws and it is just something I have to work around. Last night I thought for sure it would come back to haunt me as the Rockets started off the game 1 for 15. 1 for 15. I could assemble a group of 13 year old, third world country kids, who have never seen a basketball before to make at least 3 or 4 of them by just chucking it at the backboard. However the Rockets pulled it off for the win.
Seattle Sonics at New York Knicks: Total 199 Pick: Over
As I had said yesterday defense was an issue for these two teams. They were both scoring at will in this fast tempo and high percentage shooting game. Right from the start you could tell this would have no trouble reaching the over as it ended up hitting 227.

Vanderbilt at DePaul: Pick DePaul +3.5
I have a lot of gut wrenching terrible backdoor covers and this may top them all. I cannot describe in this paragraph how badly DePaul blew this game. Let me try.
Up 12 at half.
Up 8 with 1:48 left.
Up 7 with a minute left
For 39 minutes I thought there was no way DePaul would not have won the bet. Whenever a game goes into overtime and you do not want it to go into overtime than 9 times out of 10 you will lose. Right when I saw overtime I was thinking about betting the house on Vandy because I knew DePaul would not have had a chance and they didn't. The mistake is once you start adding up your profits before the game is over you will ALWAYS lose. Stay humble guys I don't care if your up 50 just be grateful from start to finish. Once the game is over and the two teams are completely off the court, then it is time to count your money. Any other time will come back to haunt you.

Did you ever expect this line to ever happen within the next 10 years? Las Vegas is begging people to bet on the Spurs here. However the line is this high for a good reason. Duncan is doubtful Parker is doubtful and Ginobli is probable. The Spurs without Duncan and Parker most likely not playing than the Spurs are in trouble. Matt Bonner and Jacque Vaughn are on a totally different level than their two stars. They are decent role players but would not start on many teams at all in the NBA. Wrap Up from last night-
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Washington Wizards-The Wizards were in control of this cover for pretty much the whole game. They were up by 10 at halftime, 20 in the middle of the 3rd quarter and never lost control of their double digit lead. Craig Smith played a career game by putting up 36 points but it was not enough as the Wizards easily covered on this 5 star play.
Bradley vs. Wright St.- This is a good time to mention the power of a jinx. Seven Minutes left in the game Wright St was up 9 receiving +2.5. I'm watching the game and my friend goes, "What are you even worried about your fine." Right then and there I knew I was doomed. Most times I refuse to tell people what I have because I'm worried that they will jinx me. Next thing I know Bradley rallies, forces overtime, and beats them in overtime with Wright St's best scorer fouled out. That's just the way it goes, seems like a great play for 39 out of the 40 minutes and then BAM, OT gets forced and you get backdoored.
Sacremento St. vs. Oregon- With Oregon up by 30 with 7 minutes left you would assume an easy cover. Sacremento St. had other plans. If your told me that everyone on the team pulled a Rose and bet on their own team it would not suprise me at all. They were simply playing to cover the game and Oregon couldn't put it away even more.

In home games this year the under is 2-7-1. Offensively the Kings are hurting. They do not have many options with Kevin Martin and Mike Bibby hurting. Detroit Pistons (-1.5) at Houston Rockets (+1.5)
The Rockets are very happy to be playing at home once again. They have had a brutal road trip, playing away from home in 7 of their last 8 games. It is a tale of two different teams whether they are home or away. Look for them to get it back together tonight against the Pistons. This is a much more important game for the Rockets than it is for the Pistons. Houston is a very good defensive team that should be able to exploit mismatches when they are on offense. Look for them to put it all together tonight against Vandy. Vanderbilt has been very uncontested this year. They have played a soft schedual and have only played Toledo on another team's home court. There is great moneyline value here at +150 but take the points because this will be a close game and I refuse to believe that Vandy will be able to pull away from this game.

Do not get confused. Cincinatti is getting 19.5 points because they are simply that bad. Look for the trend to continute tonight as they have to travel to play against a very talented 19th ranked Xavier team. Wrap Up From Last night-
Last night I had a great call and one that was just plain ugly. Let's start with the ugly. The Falcons were completely outplayed for most of the game last night. Like I said Las Vegas took a big hit last night on their fishy line. It just flat out didn't work out the way they thought it would. However, if you keep fading the public and stick to what Vegas does then in the long run it will pay off; just not last night. On to the 76ers, who completely manhandled the Rockets. It is rare to bet on a 1st half underdog by +4 points and not even have to sweat out the 2nd quarter. It ended up being a 56-42 first half.
Today's Card
Another slow day for NCAAB, however there are two very good plays on the card. There are several NBA games and there are a couple NHL games. Another slow day at the office but it does not mean money cannot be made. On to the picks.
NCAAB-
No NCAAB record recorded yet.
Game 1:
Bradley (-2) at Wright St (+2)
Bradley has not been away from their home court that often this year. They opened up on the road in which they lost to Illinois Chicago. They then went on to have 7 of their next 8 games at home. Being so uncontested on the road they will struggle tonight to Wright St. This is a Wright St team who just recently upset the red hot 13th ranked Butler Bulldogs. Butler at the time was averaging almost 70 points a game and Wright St held them to only 42. Wright St will come out on top tonight as the home underdog.
Play: Wright St (+2)

Game 2:
Sacramento St (+32) at Oregon (-32)
The (2-6) Sacramento St Hornets are just plain terrible. The Hornets’ only 2 wins came against William Jessup (Who? Can we get a division check on that team) and they also beat Team Mystery. I could not find out the other team they beat because Yahoo does not even list the team it just says (Won 104-71). Really! I have never seen that before. They beat Team Blank. What is this? An AAU team or something. Here check it out for yourself. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/teams/saa;_ylt=Akt_fRbVmbmGEv4e9oKlkPPevbYF
*Note after extensive research I found out that the team they beat was called Simpson University (Who? Can we get a division check on that team). {Division is the IIAC-Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference- Enough Said!}
The funny thing about this game is even though this team is that bad and even though lost to San Francisco College by 30, people are still riding them. One of the rules of gambling is to never let Vegas intimidate you by a point spread. This means that if they see a mismatch than they see a mismatch. Never pick a team because they are getting a ton of points. It falls in the same category is never pick an under because the game has such a high spread; or for that matter never pick an over simply because the spread seems too low.
Look for Oregon to blow this team out of the water. Playing in front of the home crowd they also beat that same San Francisco team by 31 points, yeah the same San Francisco Team who beat our Sacramento State buddies by 30. Therefore by the transitive property, just kidding, you get the picture.

You know a team is in trouble when you hear yourself saying, "They are going to miss the points that Antoine Walker would get them." A lot of people like the Timberwolves after beating the Suns at home a couple of days ago. However, look for the Timberwolves to really struggle on the road tonight at the Wizards. This is a team that is 1-7 on the road facing a Wizards team which has not had to travel since November. This will be their 5th straight home game. Joey Qatato, identified as the team's equipment manager on the Pacers' Web site, was struck in both elbows as he sat with Tinsley in the Rolls Royce. The 48-year-old Qatato was taken to Methodist Hospital, where he was treated and released.
What's the 48 year old equipment manager doing in Tinsley's Rolls Royce. Anyone else find this kind of strange. I didn't realize that equipment manager's who are old enough to be the player's dad goes out to town with the team. Also, if I ever see Tinsley in a club then I am getting out of that club. It seems like everytime Tinsley is around a club there is a shooting going on. So if you see him anywhere beside a basketball court, get the heck out of that club.

Wow this is one of the most boring days in a long time. Two bad teams playing in the MNF game, five NBA games, no college basketball games (don't know what's up with that), and a couple NHL games. Here are the picks and I will keep track of the records against the spread starting today.NFL- New Orleans Saints (-3.5) At Atlanta Falcons (+3.5)
This is the definition of a TRAP GAME. It's a Monday Night Football Game on primetime television with nothing else going on tonight in the gambling sports world. You have America's team from last year the Saints only giving up 3.5 points to one of the worst teams in the NFL. Everybody and their baby's mama are going to be all over the Saints tonight. All over the news has been Michael Vick, Michael Vick, Michael Vick. Even on today's news their are Vick stories circulating. Now let me ask you something. Does Las Vegas in any circumstance ever give you an edge? The answer is no. They opened this line at -5 and no it has DROPPED to -3.5. Does that make any sense whatsoever? If anything the line should be at-7.5 but they like the Falcons and they are sticking to their guns. If the Saints cover then Vegas loses a lot of money tonight and you can trust me that they do not like losing money. The play is taking whatever Vegas takes tonight and riding the Falcons at +3.5. You can never break Vegas so you might as well ride with them. So give me the Falcons plus the points and WRAP ME!
